​Veterans' Trust Fund Grant Program

Grant Opportunities


The 2021-22 Veterans' Trust Fund grant cycle is open and applications can be submitted until 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022. 

Funding

DMVA is announcing the availability of up to $1,000,000 in competitive grant funding from the Veterans' Trust Fund (VTF).  This amount consists of: 

  • Up to $800,000 for veterans' service organizations (VSOs) with 501(c)(19) status under the Internal Revenue Code and non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code that have a mission of serving Pennsylvania veterans.  Funding priorities for the 2021-22 grant year are programs that address employment and education, behavioral health initiatives or other.  The maximum grant request in this category is $50,000.
  • Up to $200,000 for grants to the Pennsylvania Association of County Directors of Veterans Affairs or grants to counties, either individually or jointly for multiple counties working together, for programs operated by their County Directors of Veterans Affairs.  The priorities for the 2021-22 fiscal year are programs in support of veterans' outreach, veterans' courts and training and capacity building.  The maximum grant request in this category is $20,000 per county.

Timeline

Organizations will be required to sign a grant agreement.  Funds will be released to the grantees upon full execution of the grant agreement.

Deadline

Applications must be received, whether electronically or by hard copy, at the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. It is preferred that applications be submitted via email toRA-MVVetTrustFund@pa.gov. Paper applications should be addressed to:
