PA Soldiers' and Sailors' Cemetery
With more than 1,300 casketed gravesites on four acres, the PA Soldiers' and Sailors' Cemetery (also known as Veterans Memorial Cemetery) is located on the campus of the PA Soldiers' & Sailors' Home – a long term care facility for Pennsylvania's veterans and their eligible spouses. The cemetery was established in 1886 and includes graves dating back to the Civil War era. While notable as the commonwealth's only state cemetery, it is maintained by the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Eligibility:

An individual who has served in the Armed Forces of the United States, or Pennsylvania Military Forces who was released or discharged from the service under honorable conditions. The veteran must be a resident of the PA Soldiers' & Sailors' Home at the time of death.
Visitation Hours:
- Open daily from dawn to dusk.
Annual Observances:
- Memorial Day: A ceremony held the Sunday before Memorial Day
- National Wreaths Across America Day: A ceremony held the third Saturday in December
